University of St Andrews Surfing Club

The Surf Club boasts a very friendly and inclusive community, always looking for new members, regardless of surfing capabilities.

The club strives to get out surfing every time the waves in St Andrews allow and also run a trip every year to destinations such as Fuerteventura and Morocco. The club owns a number of surfboards that members are free to use and a wide range of 5mm wetsuits, gloves, boots and hoods.

Club Sessions

Surf sessions take place whenever there are suitable waves. Surf sessions are split by ability – beginner, improver, intermediate and advanced.

Paddle board sessions take place when the water is flat and there is not much wind, they are suitable for all abilities.

All sessions meet at the surf shed car park at Woodburn Place.

The Surf Club Facebook members page is where sessions are listed and people sign up there; members are invited to the group once membership has been bought.
